Easy DIY Cropped Tee Tutorial
Long time, no see. It’s been a hectic summer for me, so I’ve barely had any time to sew. However, I did transform an old college tee into a fun cropped shirt for a night on the town.
I don’t have step by step pictures, but it’s simple and doesn’t require photographs or illustrations.
Here’s a pic of the top! If you like, continue to read!
To make a Cropped Tee you will need:
1. Needle & Thread or Sewing Machine or Fabric Glue (for sew-less technique)
3. A t-shirt
Step 1: Try on ironed t-shirt and mark with a washable marker where you want it to fall once you’re finished. You can also use pins as your markers (I did)
Step 2: Add an Inch to that, then cut across. (hint, measure length from under arm section to the mark you made indicating where to cut to get an even cut.)
Step 3: Hem the top with a 1 inch hem. You can sew it by hand, a sewing machine (I did), or use fabric glue.
Step 4: All Done!
Pics! Hope this helps bring life to your old t-shirts!
